Avast Internet Security 9.0 Takes 3-5 minutes to load

Did a clean install with Windows 8.1 pro using Avast Internet Security 2014.9.02013, the app installs fine, after rebooting, the system locks up for 3-5 minutes until Avast is completely loaded and the orange icon appears on the traybar. The only way around this is to click on Settings, Troubleshooting and check "load avast services only after loading other system services."

I have no other applications running at startup that would cause a conflict, in fact, after installing windows 8.1 and the system updates, the only thing i did install was Avast.

Does anyone know how to fix this, Wanted to try out Avast before making the subscription purchase, but if this can't be resolved, i'll have to seek other applications that don't have this issue.

The version you have shown in the picture is not the latest 2014.9.0.2013, that is the old 8 version and not the new 9 ( Avast 8 is not compatible with windows 8.1 )

Did you do a clean install using avastclear http://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avastclear.exe to remove remnants before installing the new version ?

Looks like a corrupt install, I have not seen this behaviour on my Win8.1 systems.
