Avast does not allow me to download old version of programas

What´s that? It is assumed that it should only detect viruses, but it blocks my downloads of programs that AVAST consider old. I've had to disable it whenever I download one of these old versions of programs that in some cases are better than the last ones. How on earth can I disable this stupid AVAST function? Thank you for any help. :(

Since you don't say how exactly it "blocks" them, what it reports, what you're actually downloading, from where etc... it's hard to say anything.
