« on: June 29, 2005, 07:36:04 PM »
Hi

I have Avast Server and Exchange installed on a Win2003 Server platform,
Dual Xeon 3.2 Mhz CPU
2 gig memory
Raid 1, 75 Gig Scsi Drives.

In Checking the event viewer under antivirus I find this error repeated over and over...Does anybody recognize this and Is it a problem?

Event Type: Information
Event Source: avast!
Event Category: (4)
Event ID: 90
Date:  6/29/2005
Time:  2:19:17 AM
User:  N/A
Computer: ******
Description:
The description for Event ID ( 90 ) in Source ( avast! ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: The virus database (VPS 0526-2) was automatically updated.  .

1. Is avast installed on the machine where you're looking at the log?
2. It's not an error, it's an Information entry
3. It says that Virus database has been updated.

Thanks

Thank you Vlk!

Yes Avast is installed and working on the machine.
Glad to hear it is just a VDB update message!

Thanks again
