Avast blocking Gmail on Mail

Easy fix guys:

1. Avast Preferences
2. Advanced, right next to Mail Shield
3. Exclusions
4. Click on "+"
5. Right next to server type "pop.gmail.com"
6. On Service select pop3
7. Click on Add

That's it. You don't have to unable the Mail Shield, keeping your Mac more secure ;-)

How is it more secure if by excluding pop.gmail.com you are excluding incoming (POP) gmail email from being scanned (forgetting IMAP, by the way)? You're not fixing a problem here, you are avoiding it, and in the process you're giving a false feeling of security.

Not sure why you are wanting to do this. Was it causing issues?
