Pasword does not work

Upon initial install of Home and Office End Point Plus I was asked to type in a password, presumably the same password I used during the setup, and it did not work.  The install also came with two Registry clean-up pop ups.  I thought these were part of the program as they stated that the program would not install before correcting registry issues.  Both found over 1,400 registry issues and before fixing them required a $30.00 per year membership.

I uninstalled Avast! and the registry cleanup programs which were installed despite clicking out before submitting payment information.  Why does installing anything these days have to be so cumbersome?

I asked Avast support to cancel my subscription/account.  1.5 hours spent on this stuff now is a prelude to a future full of wasted time.
