Annoying Chrome windows at startup
« on: February 26, 2014, 05:00:29 PM »
I have several employees, all on Windows 7, complaining about the Chrome window that comes up when they login. It is obviously caused by Avast because the site it goes to is Avast.

I have read other posts (Google search) regarding this and they give two options that:

1. Remove Chrome - Not an option, we love Chrome
2. Remove Avast - Not an option, we are very happy with Avast

Any way of removing this issue?

Many thanks,

avast > settings > troubleshooting > put a check-mark in front of "do not use Chrome as avast default browser"
Not sure if it solves the problem, but give it a try.

I appreciate the quick response but we have numerous deployments and this would mean touching every computer. Is there a way to do this from the server?

Thanks

I apologize for my mistake. Found the setting, just like you posted.

Many thanks!
