I have read several of the messages from users who are having a problem similar to mine. I'm not happy with all the answers given as they assume the users know what the person giving the answer is talking about. Why can't people be more specific as to folder locations and show that they really are reading the message before responding.
I too am unable to create a Rescue Disc on either a USB drive or a CD. I get the message that the creation failed but there is no explanation as to why it failed. I have looked at the log file specified and the entry there is so short and contains codes that mean nothing to the user. Avast needs to respond to this problem with more information as well as a fix to the problem if necessary.
