Hang on guys, don't you recognise and accept the risks when using beta software

These are the risks you take with beta software if you aren't prepared to accept the risk don't load the beta. There are many other software products that insist you uninstall the beta before installing the latest release and in some cases for the beta updates too.
I think in the time that I have been using the avast beta versions, this is the only time that I have experienced any problems. Yes this particular beta session seemed very error prone, possibly the worst one in just over a year.
I didn't take me long to copy my avast4.ini file, uninstall boot install 665, shut it down and replace default avast4.ini file with the copy I saved.
However, that is beta testing and I'm happy to take the risk because in general avast's beta sessions have been relatively problem free.
