Hey,

can you try to boot into Safe Mode?

  • Save any work and close all open windows
  • Restart your computer
  • When your computer has shutdown and is just starting to boot again (on the BIOS screen that usually has the manufactures logo on it) press F8
  • Using the arrow keys, select Safe Mode with Networking and press enter

No, I can`t. The boot stops in aswRvrt.sys in Safe Mode. My OS is dead. Ive tried with Rufus and OTL but didin`t work... :/ Also when I boot with Windows DVD, the boot stuck in disk.sys

Now I m dowloading Hirens boot CD...only to try another solution.

Any suggestion?

Thanks

If this won't work we will try something else.

  • On a clean machine, please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to a flash drive.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system.

Plug the flashdrive into the infected PC.

  • If you are using Windows 8 consult How to use the Windows 8 System Recovery Environment Command Prompt to enter System Recovery Command prompt.

If you are using Vista or Windows 7 enter System Recovery Options.

To enter System Recovery Options from the Advanced Boot Options:
    • Restart the computer.
    • As soon as the BIOS is loaded begin tapping the F8 key until Advanced Boot Options appears.
    • Use the arrow keys to select the Repair your computer menu item.
    • Select US as the keyboard language settings, and then click Next.
    • Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
    • Select your user account an click Next.
Note: In case you can not enter System Recovery Options by using F8 method, you can use Windows installation disc, or make a repair disc. Any Windows installation disc or a repair disc made on another computer can be used.
To make a repair disk on Windows 7 consult: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/2083-system-repair-disc-create.html

To enter System Recovery Options by using Windows installation disc:
    • Insert the installation disc.
    • Restart your computer.
    • If prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc. If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or DVD, check your BIOS settings.[/*]
    • Click Repair your computer.
    • Select US as the keyboard language settings, and then click Next.
    • Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
    • Select your user account and click Next.
  • On the System Recovery Options menu you will get the following options:

    Startup Repair
    System Restore
    Windows Complete PC Restore
    Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool
    Command Prompt

    Select Command Prompt

  • Once in the Command Prompt:
    • In the command window type in notepad and press Enter.
    • The notepad opens. Under File menu select Open.
    • Select "Computer" and find your flash drive letter and close the notepad.
    • In the command window type e:\frst (for x64 bit version type e:\frst64) and press Enter
Note: Replace letter e with the drive letter of your flash drive.
    • The tool will start to run.
    • When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
    • Press Scan button.
    • It will make a log (FRST.txt) on the flash drive. Please copy and paste it to your reply.

I canĀ“t reach Recovery Option Menu, because the computer doesnt`t boot. I tried to do so with the W7 installation disk, but no results, the loading files process stops on disk.sys file (Safe Mode with installation CD).

I tried with Hirens CD also, but couldn`t load neither DOS nor mini XP. There is another option on this CD menu, but is based on Linux OS and I don`t know how to proceed.

Is it possible? I tried Rufus, Hirens, WIndows CD and no success...How are they connected?? :/ The notebook is a I7 HP Pavilion with 8 GB RAM and 750 SATA. I use the Hard Disk Drive TEST of the HP Menu from BIOS and it was OK.

LEt`s move on!! Another idea??

Thank you

Whoa. So my another idea won't work because you need to go into Command Line via CD/Recovery Option Menu. I will do further research - so please be patient. :)

One last thing. Are you able to start the system via Safe Mode with Command Prompt? I think it will also hang but let's give it a try.

No, Im not :/, always stop in disk.sys when booting from WIN CD. Whe booting from hard disk, it stops when loading aswRvrt.sys.

I could boot with Hirens Boot CD in DOS mode, but I was unable to see my hard disk. And only without any USB disk connected to the computer. If I connect a USB drive, the Hirens CD boot was unable to boot even in DOS...

Try to boot again and go into Dos Mode. Type following command in it:

chkdsk c: /r

Wait until it is finished and report what is exactly happening.

Additionally, go into the Bios and tell me if your hard drive is set to SATA or IDE.

Couldn`t check disk. Blue screen. And the disc is an HITACHI 750 MB ATA type. Still nothing... never happened in my computer life

Please follow the steps here to do a system recovery (Scroll down and go to "Starting A Recovery from the hard drive and the computer is off"). Tell me if it worked.

It doesn`t work :/

After a minutes of hope, the process stoped at Recovery Manager Windows. No response. I tried to repeat the process but now it stucks earlier, in Windows flag, as it does when normal booting.
