Hello Everyone,

I was a long time user of the Free Foxit PDF Reader program, until the recent update of their version, which installed Spyware with their download.  Took me a few hours to remove the Crap and now I need to find another Free PDF Reader program to replace Foxit PDF Reader.  Any suggestions please?  I did check out a few free pdf readers, but it seems the latest trend is having some type of spyware installed some where in the program.  Just want a free pdf reader used for the basics, nothing special to be used for.  If not a free pdf reader, then I guess I need to buy one and what paid version would be the best without the Spyware, please?  Sorry to be a little negative about spyware, I am just getting tired of it.

Thanks for your time and have a great evening or morning.

Have you tried Primo PDF Reader. It's a freebie. I have it with no problems.
Then there is the old stand-by Adobe Reader. For PDF editing I use Nuance
PDF, it's a paid product. Nuance allows you three installs (not at the same time).

For a free PDF reader you might want to check out Primo PDF Reader.
With Primo you can easily convert "doc" files to PDF.

Thanks to everyone who suggested to use Sumatra PDF Viewer.  The following I read about Sumatra and I have a few questions, that hopefully some one can explain to me about it, please.

CNET Editors' review
Sumatra PDF Viewer installs politely but leaves a folder behind upon removal.

Leaves a folder behind upon removal???  What does that mean, please??  Why would it leave a folder behind when you remove the product, please?   Other then that, yes Sumatra PDF Viewer would probably be my choice.

Thank You Para-Noid about Primo PDF Reader.  Maybe this Primo PDF Reader may be right for me instead of Sumatra.  Have to decide what one I should go with, as I have nothing installed on my computer for a PDF Reader.  No thank you on the Adobe Reader.  Have a nice evening!

I use the portable version. When you're done or need to upgrade the program, just delete the folder and it's gone. Including the pdf file association.

I think PDF-XCHANGE is worth a look into, it pretty much does everything in the free version and the lightness and speed is exceptional plus the rendering clarity is second to none http://www.tracker-software.com/product/pdf-xchange-viewer I've used and recommended this reader for years.

Prior to opening the Primo PDF Reader software I completed a scan with my Malwarebytes Pro program and it detected the following Spyware bundled with the download.  PUP. Optional. OpenCandy.  I guess they are following Foxit by including Spyware into their so called free programs.  Too bad, I was going to use this Free PDF Reader.  Next, will try Sumatra, hopefully that does not have any surprises bundled with their software.
