SOA - Slow Remote Control?
« on: March 14, 2014, 02:30:19 AM »
Hello Everyone,

We're currently in a 30-day trial of Avast Small Office Administration and we love it. The only gripe we have is that remote control is glacially slow. I am on an 80Mbps/30Mbps fiber connection and another one of my test users is on a 100Mbps/100Mbps fiber connection - yet when we remote control each other a screen refresh takes 10-15 seconds to complete. When we remote control through our Lync server it's almost instantaneous.

I see that the remote control is going through Avast's server at rh.something.avast.com - is there any way to change this or perhaps determine if there is a faster server for us? Our entire company is remote, so remote control is critical for us.

Thanks!

Dear alphatheory,

We have not experienced that delay before, and have usually seen a less than one second screen refresh, when both sides were broadband. So, I am having engineers test this now!
