Hello,
Once I open my browser (google chrome) this page pops up http://aos.avast.com/upgrade/1006
Is this normal? And is there a way to disable it?

Is it sett as start page in chrome? .....if so change it

No it's not. It opens with my default tab. When I open chrome there are two tabs - google and that avast tab.

Then turn off the two tab opening.....it is in the crome settings

Google chrome opens with two tabs and you find out how to in a minute

I had this happen to me yesturday as well but I just assumed that the Avast! Online Security Plugin was updated.

It's still there $:-\$ Actually some time ago everything was okay, I just opened my chrome and only one tab poped up - google.

Tried uninstall, reboot, reinstall of chrome?

Reinstalled google chrome, but after a while it appeared AGAIN... Why does avast do this to me?
