Adobe passworded files?
« on: March 18, 2014, 06:48:14 AM »
My Avast quick scan just picked up some passworded files apparently in an Adobe folder somewhere in AppData titled "launcher.dll" and "launcher.js", both part of a "launcher.bundle." This is the first time Avast has picked up files that could not be scanned, and I don't recall Adobe leaving anything behind like that when it's done updating. I believe I updated Adobe Flash not long ago, but I can't remember when they last updated. Was it in the past week? This my first quick scan since last Monday.

Is this a normal thing for Adobe or should I be concerned? I just ran CCleaner, cause maybe that was some leftover data from Adobe's Flash update, but I don't know if CCleaner actually got it or not. Avast hasn't detected anything else, from what I can see, and MalwareBytes scans nightly and never finds anything. If it is nothing dangerous, then will it eventually go away, or is there something I can do to get rid of it so Avast doesn't trip over it? Or should I just not mess with it and let Adobe sort it out next time they update? I'm just a little paranoid about crap like this because I want to keep this computer clean, and I sometimes get MalwareBytes responding to malicious IPs coming from Skype, probably their stupid advertisements that are likely not malicious.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Well alright, that's good to hear. I'm kinda hoping it goes away so Avast doesn't trip over it, but I can live. Thanks for letting me know. :)
