URL blocking
« on: June 30, 2005, 02:58:21 PM »
I installed ADNM and deployed the avast engine to a client.
Now I want to change the configuration on the client, say I want to enter a url-block (*.google.* for instance).

Here is what I do:
    - go to propertiesof Client-Side Tasks > On-access scanning tasks > Default Resident Task (properties)
    - Web-Shield > Url-blocking > Enable ORL Blocking > Add: *.google.*
    - OK

So, what's next, is the configuration automatically deployed to the clients or do I have do something. What if I only want to deploy the config to specific clients?

I currently use the demo version, but we want to use ADNM for 550 clients

Hi, and welcome to the forum. :)

During the next POP (typically in about 5-10 minutes), all clients configured to use this On-access scanning task will download and apply this new definition.

The name of the On-access scanning task to use is specified in thein the Computer Catalog group's properties.
You can create as many on-access task as you wish and assign them to individual computer groups (as explained above).

Thanks,
