AVAST INTERNET SECURITY - SAFE ZONE - Error
« on: March 28, 2014, 03:31:18 PM »
When trying to launch SAFE ZONE from Avast Internet Security, I get a pop-up with the text,
Sorry, the process virtualization feature will be activated upon reboot of the system.  Do you want to reboot the system now?

I say yes, and reboot, and when I try to launch, I get the same error pop-up.

I've gone into Uninstall and "Repaired" the software, that didn't do anything

Okay, I fixed it.

I had to reinstall the program AGAIN, this will be my 3rd time uninstalling, and reinstalling.
Make sure to use the Avast Uninstall utility, do a search.

The trial worked great, now that I've paid money, I start to have issues, wtf!

Write down your config (at least OS, SP and Avast version)... this might help other forum users!  ;)

Personally, when I was running XP SP3 I encountered randomly BSOD when clicking "Go to SafeZone" from within Firefox (I think was v25 or 26) with avast v9 (if I remember well was .2013)... but it worked perfectly from within IE or from the standard icon on the desktop ... no issues on Win7 SP1 at all ... (unfortunately, that's the story of v9 so far: low robustness, thus it is improving with every version  ::) )
