Hi

They should be ON by default. If you leftclick on the avast! blue icon in system tray, the "On-access scanner" window will open; what is the status of the particular providers?

Hi

Currently because I turned them of , the status is " No task is currently using this Provider" I thought I wuld be able to left click or something, and turn them back on.

How do I get the Scanners back to "default"

many thanks

No task is currently using this Provider
That means the provider is running, there is just no application running that this provider is designed for.

eg: the outlook/exchange provider will show "waiting for a subsystem to start" and will automaticly be activated as soon as you are gonna use outlook (not outlook express) or exchange.

Just read the manual to see what each provider is for and enable/disable them to your needs.
Do the same ofcourse for the settings that each provider offers you.

Remember: each system and user is different.

How about simply clicking on the "Start" button (when the corresponding provider is selected)?
