The picture shows that 360 Internet Security provides better protection than avast, should I uninstall the latter in favour of the former?

At the end of the day it is your choice, I have been using Avast since 4.something (before webshield) and I have had zero infections.  So for myself I am quite happy and tend to ignore these surveys

I am not a teenager but as ignorant as such when it comes to AV, so I want advice on the choice.

so I want advice on the choice.
find and install the AV you like ..... and dont install multiple AV.
if you want a extra scanner, Malwarebytes is highly recomended.  www.malwarebytes.org
also recomended is MCShield USB protector.  www.mcshield.net

Just checking it would have been towards the end of 2004 so that is 10 years now.  Sometimes in my research I go to the darkside :)

Multiple AV have been on my computer for 3 days but not running simultaneously, so far no problem has arisen.

that is 10 years now... I have had zero infections.
I will take it into account.

Not good.....it will and you may not like the results of the conflict.
Your decision but I'd uninstall all but one of your choice.....and not just uninstall but clean: http://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AVKB11#artTitle

There is also the strong possibility that having more than one antivirus installed may not allow any of them to do their job, allowing a virus to slip past all the antivirus programs while they are fighting with each other trying to scan the file/web connection.  The truth is that with more than one antivirus installed you wind up with less protection.
