Simple Avast setup without updater and stuff
« on: April 10, 2014, 09:57:39 PM »
Before I uninstall and move on to another AV software is there some way to just have the sheilds and none of the frills such as updater cleanup etc.

When I set up my new laptop with a fresh install yesterday I used custom and didn't check these extras but the program just installed them anyway.

Same with Google Chrome it installed it without any box to click declining. No a big deal this time as I had planned on installing Chrome anyway but it seems Avast is getting a little to pushy with installing products for me and it is close to pushing me to another software program

Try...Control Panel>Uninstall a Program>double click "avast">click "change">untick what you don't want>reboot.
