update not up to date
« on: April 23, 2014, 01:01:56 PM »
Recently when this PC connects to the internet the vps is often not the latest update, eg. When it updates its 2014.04.21.0 but the latest update is 2014.04.22.2, is that normal?

Is your date and time correct on your PC?

How do you have your updates set up in Avast?

What version and product of Avast are you using?

Have you ever had an antivirus (AV) on this machine in the past?  If so, how did you remove it?

What other security software do you have on this machine?  Is your firewalll blocking Avast?

Wrong! I have been receiving both streaming and "regular" vps updates.

YOU have...not everyone.
I have 4 diff PCs here and NONE of them updates. two are freshly installed OSes and avast.

Please, if you don't know what your talking about, just stay out. This is the exact same problem we had about ten days ago. After a lot of complaining, it got fixed, without repair-installing or anything like that. Server issue, solved by the avast team.

To my knowledge its recent problem it only occur recently on a PC that use to receive regular updates correctly.

other PC with same version have no such problem.

Date and time is correct, with automatic update.

Please stick to one thread. Ranting isn't going to help at all.

@jvidal,
Are you using "Silent Gaming Mode" ???
That would prevent pop ups from occurring and also updates from happening. :)

When you manually try to update the VPS and it's already updated,, you get the following message:

When you manually try to update the avast! program, and it's already updated, this is what you see:

I think your trying the wrong update or are expecting one thing while trying something else.  :)

Do you think I'm a newbie or what???
How stupid do you think I'm?
I'm sorry, but you are insulting me!
I'm talking about the VPS UPDATE.

Wanna see?
look:

In case you don't understand, "ya esta actualizado" means "It's already up to date", which it obviously isn't.

I'm talking about the VPS UPDATE. You didn't say that and neither did your reply clarify that.
There are 2 updates: VPS and Program.
If you aren't specific. I don't know which one you mean. I'm not sitting in from of your computer, you are.
Translating from one language to another also leaves something to be desired.
If you use a language other than English, why not post in your native language:
http://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=21.0
That would eliminate translation problems.
You seem to forget, Like You, we use the product,  We don't work for Avast.

Did you even read the first 2 or 3 posts in this thread??? It was always about the VPS.
I'm gonna stop now, it's obvious none of you have a clue about this problem.
My messages are intended for the devs, they're the ones that have to fix the server issues, just like they did 10 days ago.
