Did you even read the first 2 or 3 posts in this thread??? It was always about the VPS.
I'm gonna stop now, it's obvious none of you have a clue about this problem.
My messages are intended for the devs, they're the ones that have to fix the server issues, just like they did 10 days ago.
Seems you'r the only one with a problem ??? Hope they fix it for you.

You obviously didn't read the first post about a guy complaining about the same problem...

Look, I appreciate your trying to help, but if you're not experiencing this issue, clearly you don't know what I'm talking about.

Could you show a screenshot of the Settings > Update (when you update)

It should then show the VPS it should be at is wrong or not.

Also by doing that it should state the server too... what's the affected server?

jvidal, if it was/is a server problem everyone would have problems.
So you are wrong about that.

It can however be a local problem in the firewall settings or with  some other program blocking the avast! server.

Some while ago, I stopped receiving streaming updates for about 3-4 days.  It was definitely one of the streaming servers, acknowledged and fixed by Avast.

The best way to check is to keep a log of the specific server(s) that states that it's up to date when clearly it's not.  This will point to which server may not be receiving the propagation of the updates in a timely fashion.

jdival and testingNoobie, what is your location?  Are you near each other?

Common to both: Avast Premium Security 19.7.2388, WinPatrol Plus, SpywareBlaster 5.5, Opera 12.18, Firefox 68.0.2, MBam Free, CCleaner

I am also in South America and I have not had any problems with my VPS. Also, none has been reported in the Spanish subForum so far.

Well, obviously only some severs are having problems, that's why some people experience this issue and some don't. EXACT SAME BEHAVIOUR as last time.

Also, I like to mention, that in the past 6 months or so and according to Hoov, Moderator at Spywarehammer forums, there seems to be a problem with one of the three international hubs serving South America and North America. This seems to affect the connection to servers depending on the IP at the moment. In my case if running a specific range of IPs, I cannot go to SpywareHammer forums. I get a test site to be reported to administrators of the site. So..., and just speculating here, wait to see if another IP give you the VPS update.

wow... I'll never understand the phenomenon where someone is a total a$$, but yet people out of the goodness of their hearts still try to help them, communicate with them and solve the problem.

It's like I'm reading an abusive relationship in an anti virus forum.

Sometimes a takes a while for a person to realize that there are actually forums where help is what
it's all about. :)
