On the other hand, I became suspicious of my ISP. Today I went to a friend's shop and his avast wasn't updating either and he has the same ISP as me.
Yesterday, I went to a customer's home and his avast was updating correctly, he uses a different ISP.
But, I don't think how the hell could be an ISP problem, since I CAN connect to the servers (see prev. post).

I mean, how can a bad node/hub cause the avast server to reply "There isn't newer VPS", when there obviously is a newer version!

@Bob: I tried using the offline updater last time and it didn't help. That's why I KNOW it's no use.
It's the EXACT SAME situation.

At this very moment I´m at a friend´s house.
His computer had avast 7 and it was up to date (140425-0). I updated to avast 9.0.2018 and rebooted.
Avast updated to v140421-1, instead of the latest update. I used the offline updater to update to v140424-1 and tried to update after that.
Avast won´t update, says it's up to date (which it isn't).
It seems the problem only happens with the v9 servers.

Edit: now EVERY TIME I reboot, avast "updates" to the same version it already has, pop up and sound notification.

SOMEONE PLEASE FIX IT!!!!!!!

c:\ProgramData\avast software\persistent data\avast\logs

that's if you have win 7.

if you have xp, it should be in
c:\documents and settings\all users\avast software\persistent data\avast\logs

Thanks, jvidal.
Your auto-updates doesn't work, how about streaming updates?

If one has disabled "Show notification box after automatic update", will one never take notice of the update problems?

Right click on the avast desktop icon>click on "open file location">scroll to "defs">either double click to open or right click to create desktop shortcut.

The desktop short cut is automatically created. It's something you need to manually remove if you don't want it. :)
