Welcome to the forum.
We need more information in order to even guess.
What email program are you using ???
What OS. ???
Which version of avast! ???
If you just installed avast!, what did you use prior and how did you remove the old AV ???

Hi,
Not really into computers, I installed that antivirus after a recommendation.
I used McAfee before.
I can send emails and some with attachments but others will not go, if I remove the attachment the email will go.
I have tried sending them as original files and as PDF, the file is only 897kb which I normally sent out before and larger.
I assume it is something to do with the program setting as it has only started since installing Avast professional.
Dont know if that helps at all.
Graham

Unless you used the removal tool from McAfee, there are still remnants of that program and may be
giving you a problem.
Follow the information in my signature on Successfully installing avast! to find the McAfee removal tool and use it.
Reboot your system after running that tool.
