Have been using Avast free for a while - suddenly this evening it's blocking POP3 email access.
If I turn off the Mail Shield then I can download my email,
When I turn it back on thenThunderbird / Mailwasher both time out when trying to contact the mailserver.
I downloaded the latest Virus Definitions file (140707-1)
current program version is 2014.9.0.2008 - Avast is showing that there's an update available, but clicking the 'update' button doesn't seem to do anything..
Help please ?
