changed email address
« on: May 04, 2014, 10:46:55 PM »
I have changed my email address.  Is there anyway I have to change it in the Avast program so that it will recognize me and allow the updates.  Also does Avast run on the Mac system.

I don't think you have to change your email address of your avast as you have made a new one. It should be okay for updates to be delivered to you. Avast also runs on Mac. Here is the link. http://www.avast.com/free-antivirus-mac

Support for Avast for Mac you should post it here http://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=5.0

If you have a antivirus already installed on your Mac make sure you properly uninstall it using uninstall tools. Ask about that on http://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=5.0. As there are uninstall utilities available on windows operating system that we use after we uninstall avast and we use those tools and I am not sure about uninstall utilities for Avast on Mac. Best way is to ask them on Avast on Mac support forum link provided.

avast doesn't need a email address to receive updates.

Oh by the way Grail.... forgot to mention you only need your email address to register your copy of avast as it very important to do that to receive VPS updates, streaming updates, and program updates. Thanks to Eddy  :)
