DATABASE BACKUP SIZE
« on: May 02, 2014, 10:38:45 PM »
I'm running the latest Avast version 8.1603 an have database backups done thru the Avast mgt console.  I've noticed that the size of the database backups increased literly overnight from about 50,000KB to 2,300,000KB. I do have the backup job set to shrink the database.  Any ideas what the issue is? We haven't really added any new pc, servers that would justifiy that increase overnight.

I had one case with SOA on a clients system, where the database got a size error and a message to call avast! tech support.  We never did get any clarification from them.  We solved the issue by creating a new database (deleting the old).  I had several database issues recently, so we are under the assumption that they all should be backed up!
