avast! Konto/Portal (my.avast.com) [Beta-Version]

Changelog/Fixes:
- We have completely redesigned the UI to meet desktop as well as mobile needs.
- There's a brand new section called Facebook security which may help with Facebook privacy issues.
- For the power geeks we have prepared sort of a "command line mode". Just press SPACEBAR anywhere in the site.

Known issues:
- FB security: If you use filters, your threats may not be sorted from latest to oldest properly.
- Incomplete localizations: New UI for my.avast is currently ready only in English. We are working on other languages.
- Browsers: IE, FF, Safari on Mac - icons may not be aligned properly in these browsers.
- Safari on Mac: On device info page, Commands and Notifications tabs have layout issues.
- Spacebar search: Still work in progress.

- And loads of small bug fixes and tweaks

- for R2 beta testers: User now may connect to another PC with Avast (including Free) using the ARC through Avast Account in Avast client. (Target devices needs R2 beta)
- for R2 beta testers: Secure Another Device UI improvement. Since R2 release users can generate account pre-paired install files including premium product (with lic. number)
- Replaced the "karma" string by "points"
- Security Ring reflects firewall state not just product availability
- We changed the badges and rank pictures and updated the whole UI a bit (icons, fonts etc.)

Social Media Security & Badges removal: We’d like to announce that we will remove two features from the my.avast.com portal: Social Media Security and the unfinished system of Ranking & Badges.

Because of recent changes in the Facebook API, we can no longer provide the threat intelligence related to many of your posts. Since it doesn’t make sense to provide an incomplete service, we’ve decided to shut the current implementation down. It’s possible we’ll come up with a different implementation of Social Media Security in the future.

Regarding the system of Ranking & Badges for using Avast applications & features - it was never fully developed to provide a variety of rewards beyond the free licenses. And because we’re currently focusing on different priorities, we’ve decided to remove the unfinished badges and ranking and keep the system of recommendations. The possibility for getting free licenses for spreading Avast will thus be left intact. We appreciate the efforts you have put in over the past few years, and we look forward to introducing an improved version later this year. We will keep you informed.

Hello Avasters!

We’re sorry to say we no longer support Windows and Mac devices in the “devices” section in my.avast.com accounts. Licenses and Anti Theft should still work fine, but we’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you. The reasoning is, we are reducing the data that we collect and we are reducing the data that we connect to other data when the data is not necessary for the functionality of the software. If this decision has broken software functionality, let us know. Our intention is to reduce data collected and connected; our intention is not to break software functionality. For paid subscriptions we plan to have a simple overview for you to see on which devices the subscription is being used.
