win32:vidlo-h virus
« on: July 14, 2005, 03:48:36 AM »
Hello,
Running Win XP, Avast! Version 4.6, when doing a boot scan the win32:vidlo-h
located win\system32\csvid.ex file when attempting to delete or move the computer stops responding. Have disabled XP restore feature. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Try to delete the file in safe mode.

Eddy, the user could not delete at boot scanning, will he be able to do it in Safe Mode? Maybe not...  ::)

While being in safe mode, there are more options like:
- changing file attributes
- take ownership
- diskrepair (scandisk)
etc.
