Scanner Finds Infection
« on: July 23, 2005, 01:36:30 AM »
I have avast setup to automatically do a scan at 7:00 each Friday evening. A while ago when it finished, it showed I had four infected files but didn't say where or what they are. Where do you go to get that information and can these files be cleaned when found?

I found in Log viewer some warnings. Some listed Trojans like, Kuang2. I tried to copy it but couldn't get any of it to high light so I tried Ctrl C and it still wouldn't copy. So much for that. Anyway, two of the four read. Win:32 Kuang2 which was found in C:\Windows\Last Good\Sys 32.... and another was in Windows\Sys 32.... This is hard to believe.

Did you use anything from Panda lately? Perhaps their online scanner?

Mmmmm....not lately anyway. Been a while back. I have used a-squared lately. Not the freebee but the paid version I downloaded several months back.
