XP & Avast
« on: May 13, 2014, 01:20:16 AM »
a friend that is still using XP ask me to look at his computer that was taken over by malware and viruses The antivirus (AVG) wouldn't even work.I downloaded Malwarebytes,ADWcleaner.and Avast for XP.After running MBAM and ADW,I ran Avast.I really dont believe all the crap avast picked up.I had never seen a really dirty pc before. It picked up 14 viruses.
The second and third scan came out clean and the PC works like new.I now know AVAST really works.I still find it hard to get in my head that a free AV would work so well, and I really believe Avast will keep XP safe for a few more years.
Way to go avast.

THis was interesting to watch...

Avast! (Free) vs. BitDefender (Paid). They both performed and both kicked some serious rear end. This was very little difference between the two. Avast! missed a website, but caught the file red-handed :)  ;D
