How to undo some changes
« on: May 09, 2014, 04:49:49 AM »
I remember looking through the categories of changes, one of which was Desktop.  I didn't realize GrimeFighter was going to remove shortcuts.  I'd like to restore them.  Well, there are other things I'd like to undo as well ... which leads to this question:

How do I undo some of things GrimeFighter has done?

I agree with one of the posters that GrimeFighter, while it was "designed for beginners," doesn't do much to help beginners or put beginners at ease.  The friendly story-telling cartoons do not substitute for good information when it comes to trust.  When looking through the items GF intends to disable, the descriptions are just computer-speak (like meaningless filenames and paths) --- technical stuff that does absolutely nothing to help the "beginner" evaluate what the change is acting on or the consequences of actions.  This is scarey!

(I'm telling you this as an interaction designer for sites and apps.)

But I need to try to undo some of the changes, and I'm hoping there is LOG of some sort that I can go through and select items to restore to their defaults.

Please help.

I discovered a way to Undo, but it is an all-or-nothing operation, which I did.
