Emails truncated
« on: February 01, 2014, 04:53:12 PM »
Recently I have had problems where the body of my emails is truncated on some messages. The signature remains intact, but the body of the text is truncated to about 250 characters. I doubt whether it is my ISP or the recipients ISP as the text is also truncated in the version of the message in my "Sent" folder. It is not every email that has this issue. Emails to multiple recipients exhibit the same problem for all recipients.

This leads me to think it is the email client (Outlook 2003) or a addin such as Avast that causing the problem.

I was wondering if anyone else had experience a similar problem. Could it be a problem with Avast?

Can you access your mail online (website)?
If so check if they are truncated there also.

I had the same problem using Outlook 2003.  After I changed the following setting, email delivery worked without problems:

Settings --> Active Protection --> Mail Shield --> disable "Scan outbound email"

Warning: The last porgram update overrode the setting and the problem was back.
