BSOD, suspected caused by real time file examination
« on: May 21, 2014, 08:36:16 PM »
Windows 7 x64, current avast version.

I've twice crashed out of a build which involved constructing and executing a lot of small programs,
during which the real time "examining for virus" notifictions pop up many times, sometimes with
several of the pop-ups visible at the same time.   The symptom is a sudden blue screen of death,
not at exactly the same point in the build.

Turning off real-time file examination allows the process to complete without crashing.

I can provide more information if anyone cares. (or you could turn the page..)
