E-Bay add on

Avast regulary gives me a pop-up warning about an E-Bay add on being dodgy and do i want it blocking , have not knowingly added an add on from E-bay ,am a bit of a pc newbie so what can i do to stop E-Bay doing  it ?

It's a good possibility that it was installed when you installed some other software.  Take Java for instance, when you download and install Java, it likes to add a toolbar for ask.com, it's a way of advertising and making money for software that is otherwise free.

Now, to remove it, you can let Avast take care of if, or you can remove it yourself, but it depends on what browser you use.  Internet Explorer, Safari, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, etc.  They all have extensions that can be added.  You'll need to tell us which browser you have before we can provide removal instructions.
