Avast 2014 & keyboards
« on: June 16, 2014, 03:07:28 PM »
I got a new Lenovo Ideapad U530 laptop & installed Avast 2014 Pro on it with Windows 8.1. After logging in and typing after a few short minutes the keyboard stops working.  Could Avast be the cause or the free Comodo firewall I have installed?

What anti-virus was installed on you new computer?
If uninstalled how did you uninstall it?
As far as the Comodo Firewall did you install just the firewall?
Or did you install the anti-virus when you installed CFW?

I run CFW v5.12 w.D+ but I did not install the Comodo antivirus.
To install just the firewall follow these instructions.
Dell Inspiron, Win10x64--HP Envy Win10x64--Both systems Avast Free v17.9.2322, Comodo Firewall v8.2 w/D+, MalwareBytes v3.0, OpenDNS, Super Anti-Spyware, Spyware Blaster, MCShield, Unchecky, Vivaldi Browser and, various browser security tools.

I installed &. purchased the latest Avast Pro awhile back.  I uninstalled the free Comodo firewall which seems to be the problem.  I normally haven't had a problem but it blocked the Synaptics touchpad program.  It seems to be working great now.
