Java Runtime Update

Avast Software Updater, will not update Java, when it says to update it. It does update others, but not Java. Can someone please help me, with this? Thanks!

Are you sure you absolutely need JRE?
If not don't install it.
I don't need it, so I don't have JRE installed.  :)

Of course he needs java... I had the same problem. Just update it manually by downloading the correct binary from the official website, run the setup, install it and restart the PC.
Check Avast!'s software updater. If it is still trying to update, click refresh, if that's a no-go restart again.

Guaranteed to work.
