I have the HTMLayout.dll cannot be loaded properly when trying to install AVAST.
I have followed all the previous post recommendations including manual install of HTMLayout in \windows\system\ \system32\ \wow64 and program files\avast\ and program files\avast\setup.
This is a brand new machine, fresh out of the store. It has no existing anitvirus, but to be safe I have run the Mcfree, Norton and Avast cleaner. No other AV software is installed.
I've done system image file checks, and tried to install in safe mode.
I've seen a recent Avast post suggesting Avast know the solution and it's due to locale settings. I've followed his advice and tried installing switching and restoring language files, date, region settings.
This is really frustrating. Any advice welcome.
