Following phishing attack didn't got caught by Avast Mobile Security that is running on mu tablet!
On the Gmail forum
https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!category-topic/gmail/report-an-issue/account-access-and-safety/android/nXTIlTeNezM I posted the following message:
On mu Asus Ee-Pad Transformer TF 101, Android 4.0.3
I received a notification in that pop up-list that you get clicking right bottom of the screen(sorry, I don't know how it is called; it shows you have new e-mail, FB notices, application updates, your battery status, etc).
The one line msg said something like "Your Gmail account needs verification". Clicking it I got into a window with only my Gmail address and a field to enter my password. No mail. No sender, nothing. [Yes, some buttons with verify and Enter or so].
Of course I didn't enter anything. I think I went into my Gmail mail box. No verification msg or so! No apps that I just had started (the third button, left under).
Strange! I can't find anything about it on the net. Anyone seen this? A new way to phish?
