deleting the double protected files, drivers and REG KEYS.
« on: June 28, 2014, 02:23:39 AM »
The ver 9 update does not work well with xp pro sp/2  plus it is too invasive personal
system settings  - ran undelete !   and since that didnt work completely - Plus
I could not just delete the programs and drivers manually - I rebooted with an
old DOS boot disk and did it the hard way.
BUT - I cant get to the registry keyes  to delete them - when I try it says
 no way bud !   :-)
So - anybody know how I can get past their double protection lockout ?
   Located in:
    HKEY-LOCAL-MACHINE
         SYSTEM
            CONTROLSET001
               CONTROL
                    ENUM
                       ROOT
                           legacy_aswhwid
_  and about 10 more in this 'root' level
                                         could be more in controlset002

It's Windows that is blocking the keys - and it will be Windows that will remove the keys when it decides that it's time for them to go.

sorry Igor... but the only problem ms can fix is me not useing search in my reg cleaner .
found one last item tucked deeper than I looked - deleted that and - my gosh - that
rascally key was suddenly deletable !
I have done every search at my disposal - you no longer exist ANYWHERE on my drives
from C: to K:   - - which includes backups.

why am I here - you dont exist !   :o

you gave a lousy answer by the way.
