We are running enterprise admin console free for the edu
I am trying to figure out how to generate a mac installation package from the console, is this possible?

No, afaik.

So how do we go about getting avast installed on the macs and tying in to our edu account, or is the only option to installed the avast free for macs?

I was under the impression that you can manually install the license on the mac client, but you install the mac client directly instead of from the console. However, I have not attempted to do so. You may have to get specific licenses directly from Avast.

says you have to contact Avast to get the Mac license, and it is not managed by AEA console. It may or may not be the same for mobile devices.
