Internal Error, need to repair avast! on each system start
« on: July 02, 2014, 09:56:13 AM »
Hi all,
I'm using avast! free since last Sunday on my iMac, OS 10.5.8. On each system start I get a note "internal error". Opening avast! as recommended it needs to be repaired, which takes double entering of my system password. Everything seems to work afterwards, but it's a little annoying, esp. as my family is using this computer, too.
Anything I can do?
Thanks in advance for reply.
Christoph

thanks again. Maybe this explains a lot and I should consider updating my OS, which wasn't REALLY necessary till now.
Kind regards

Those are the system requirements for Avast! 9, but you are running Avast! 7 according to teh other thread, I don't know what are the minimum requirements. But there is little to no point in running an outdated version of an AV in an outdated system that is no longer patched by Apple, because you are vulnerable anyways.
