Problem with AIS when removing a program
« on: July 07, 2014, 02:56:46 AM »
Is there a way to tell AIS not to scan a program when I remove it. I use Revo uninstaller and AIS messes up the entire process. If AIS found nothing when I installed it and scanned it, why would AIS find it necessary to scan a program that is being remove?

AIS should scan any program being executed: it can't see if it is being installed, run, open, uninstalled...
Although it could be a false positive, uninstallation processes create temporary executable file that could be detected.
Also, between the installation and the uninstallation the virus definitions could have been updated.
Well, as you can see, there could be a lot of reasons to the (new) detection of the file.
