We have an Avast Small Business Server running as a virtual machine on Windows Server 2012 R2 inside of a Hyper-V 2012 R2 host. The Hyper-V host is a Xeon E5-2637 v2 @ 3.50GHz (Dell M620 Blade) and I've assigned 2 cores to the VM. The VM has 4GB of memory assigned to it and 3GB is free.
The Avast service (Avast.Sbc.Service) utilizes 10% of the CPU constantly. If I try and throttle the usage, the Avast.Sbc.Service process rises accordingly.
We only have about 11 machines reporting in to this server right now.
Why is this?
