Settings password
« on: August 07, 2014, 03:47:01 PM »
Hello,
I cant seem to find anything on this. i changed the default password for AEA and thought that it would push that password to the clients machine so when they click on settings they would have to put in a password. right now it is defaulting to admin on the client side. thats pretty easy to guess.

so i guess what i am asking is how would you change the password on the client side so it is no longer admin. i dont want the end user to be able to change the settings.

Thanks

It is a group policy if your computers are organized into groups.

Right Click your group -> Properties -> Under Policies: avast! Antivirus go to password.

You can set a default password at the root level, and different passwords for each group using the information above.

If you change a password, it may not take effect immediately.  The client has to refresh the settings from the server (usually every 30 mins by default).
