Hi Good Day ~!

I currently have installed Avira free edition v. 1.1.18.30000
my inquiry is compatiblity with having both Avira and Avast installed yet just using one at a time by disabling and switching the features?

- Have a good one!   :D

You should never have 2 Anti Virus programs installed at the same time! There are low level drivers installed by both AV's regardless of what's enabled.
I wouldn't think (regardless of what's enabled back and forth) that would make it any less likely to result in major system instability and conflicts
Just saying. ;)

One resident AV at a time. Installing more than one resident AV will eventually give you nothing but grief.
It isn't that hard to fully remove one AV before you install another.
You also can't judge the behavior and ability of any AV unless it's the only one on your system.
Your computer, your choice but, only choose and evaluate one at a time.
That same rule also applies to your firewall.

Yes it's interesting, that after all these years, this query still keeps rising. :)
