2 virus scans at the same time?
And you have only one av installed?
Did you schedule things or did you start a scan manually?
Please attach a screenshot so we can get a idea of what is happening.

Avast can run more than one scheduled scan, it has had that functionality for some time. Though why anyone would want to do that I don't know.

Just choose which one you want to run and disable the other scans Schedule - avastUI > Scan (select scan) Settings > Scheduling - uncheck the schedule.

Did you have an AV (antivirus) on your machine in the past, or have one on the machine when you bought it that you never uninstalled when you put Avast on it?

A screen shot would help.  How is your machine acting otherwise?

What is your OS?

What version of Avast are you running?

What product of Avast do you have?

What other security software do you have now and in the past?  In the past, how did you uninstall it?  The vendor's uninstaller tool or another way?

I doubt that would stop the scan page popping up as this is for the generation of a text based report in the C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\report folder for that scan.
