« on: August 12, 2014, 11:41:37 AM »

I found a bug on Avast Antivirus Free. When I download file more than 3 GB using Utorrent or Bit Torrent the torrent client would not responding continuesly each minute.  The problem only solved after I turn off the File System Sheild on Avast.

I just turn off temporary and turn on again after finished download the file.

- The version is 2014.9.0.2021
- Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit
- No other security software installed
- Nod 32

I have another PC with the same version of Avast but with Windows XP Professional 32 it also has the same problem.

It doesn't take very long to get infected. Anytime you turn off your protection, even for a short period,
you put your system at risk.

And torrent downloads are known for having malware included.
Torrent downloads are a bad idea. Even more so without the
file shield active. You are asking for nothing but trouble.

It depend on what you download/from where. A good example for a save torrent download is the Opera browser if you start the download from their website. btw, Opera has a torrent client build in, no need for a separate one.  :D
