Avast Free for Education Implementation
« on: August 12, 2014, 05:14:27 PM »
Hello,

We are rolling out the Avast Free for Education to our school network which covers half of our state. I am running into some issues getting it going. We requested a license that has enough seats for the many schools in our "district" (around 510). I have gone to the webpage that Avast points me to (https://edu.avast.com/en-us/#edu/licenses), but I see nothing there but a download for two different local servers.

Will each school have to log into the website and download a local server onto their network as well as the license file?

Is there no cloud management section?

I don't think there is a cloud management.

You need to login to the edu site with the email address account info you used to register for the Free for Edu program.  The license file should be available to download there.  You download it once and put it on the servers in the licensing section.

I agree, the implementation process could be MUCH clearer and streamlined.
