Digital Cable % Satellite DRM Harms TV Fans & Innovators
« on: October 06, 2006, 09:43:28 AM »
Hi malware fighters,

Americans aks themselves "Who killed TiVoToGo?", Mommy wants to make some computer cd copies for the kids schoolprogram for home use. Perfectly legal, broadcast is also legal (until they change the regulations up till now it is), but recording may be restricted through DRM. UUphpfh, Mommy does not want jam-smears on a tape on analog, she has been talking the effort to put it on the kiddies computer, and what is her reward?
Read the story why? Go here: http://www.eff.org/news/archives/2006_10.php#004934
And you are not even allowed to tell Mommy how to circumvent, because when your luck is out, you can land in the slammer (well nott in my country, but in some countries you do). What if those people who do this with broadcasts, and are behind this  get their way with the Internet? Can you imagine what it will be like, can you comment?

Cybersecurity is more of an attitude than anything else. Avast Evangelists.

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!

It is all getting very silly to me. This has to do with being "money hungry" more so than with piracy.
