Hi, does anyone know about USBC File?
« on: August 18, 2014, 12:59:05 AM »
Hi, my problem started yesterday when I inserted my memory card here on my desktop. I noticed some of my files and photos were turned into an USBC file that cannot be opened. My files were like bundled into one USBC file and I started to scan it using the said anti virus. After the scans were completed, it said some files cannot be found. I tried searching some stuffs on web but aren't useful to me. Does anyone knows how to fix this file and return my stuffs? I'm sorry but I hate using recovery softwares since they aren't free but thank you guys for reading about my problem... Some said this file is a  Virus and some said it's not...

Here's the picture what it looks like: http://www.mediafire.com/view/x37fvick2bcy1k2/Untitled.png

The usbc error happens when a file system on a card is damaged.
There are two things you can try.
1)
- Open run (windows+R)
- Open command prompt (type : cmd)
- On the open box type -> chkdsk (space) [the drive]: (space) /f (example (your sdcard is on drive K:) -> chkdsk k: /f)
- It will say that it's being repaired , after that copy all files folder to your PC

If all files where e.g. jpg's, rename the extension to .jpg

2)
You can try to recover the files with PhotoRec
Recovery software not free? Well this is a really good one and it is free :P
