Hi there,
After my Quickbooks file was worked on by their techies, they informed me that the Verification hanging problem I was having was due to a programme conflict. They said to confirm this by running Windows operating system temporarily in Selective Startup Mode. I did this, but noticed that Avast was not going to be switched off, so left it go and went ahead.

After running this I still had the issue. So I disabled Avast for 10 mins and tried again to Verify QB and it ran successfully. So now I'm assuming that it is Avast that is causing the conflict with Quickbooks.

Would someone please advise me how to resolve this issue as I don't want to use another anti-virus programme and need to know that Verification is happening.

Many thanks and this is my first post here  :)

Dear Carsa,

I am an Inuit Service Provider, and we have several Intuit Pro Advisors.  I literally have hundreds of  systems running avast! and QuickBooks with no issues. However, I would apply a Global File Exclusion:

*Intuit*  & *.qbw

We have this done in our office for speed, and NOT compatibility!

Sincerely,
